Older-home condition and everyday access
Compare renovations, additions, parking arrangements and maintenance needs for each home. Walk the blocks you expect to use, check crossings and test routes to the places you visit. A broad downtown label does not establish walkability for an address.
Compare the property, not a broad label
Start with the exact address, floor plan and condition. Ask for association documents, recorded restrictions, outstanding assessments and current insurance quotes. Compare the total monthly cost, including maintenance, with a budget you are comfortable carrying.
Try your actual week
Visit at different times and test your routes to work, groceries, recreation and the places that matter to you. Check the walking route itself, parking, building access and amenity membership requirements. A neighborhood description cannot establish how a specific home will work for you.
Build a useful shortlist
Save two or three properties and write down your non-negotiable features, comfortable monthly payment and moving timeline. Send Victor those criteria to compare current options. Availability, price, association fees and property condition require confirmation for each home.
